1944 Born in Glasgow, Scotland, U.K.
1966 Acquired teacher's license, D.C.E. (Diploma of College Education) from Jordanhill College.
1966-1974 Taught at Gowanbank and Elgin St. primary schools.
1975 Acquired an A.C.E. (Associateship of College of Education) and N.F.F. (National Froebel Foundation) Certificate from Nortredame College of Education.
1976-1978 Lecturer B in Education at Motherwell Technical College specialising in Training Nursery Nurses for NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) qualification.
1978 Attended Glasgow University for a course in Applied Sciences.
1979-1981 Visited 17 countries. Taught English in Thailand, Korea and Japan.
1981 Came to Japan. Opened the Japanese branch of Fortronic, a Scottish computer maker.
1983 Started Sin-Cos Scottish Consultants to introduce Scottish products to Japan and to help import them.
1986 First Lady Chieftain of the Kansai St. Andrew's Society.
1989 Financially supported the Ramsay Pipeband, started by her daughter Lindsay Cameron Nomiyama Kawai.
1990 Started regular lessons in British cooking, afternoon tea manners, etc.
Started Scottish dance lessons.
Founded the Kansai Highland Games.
2000 Started Scottish Creations including the making of kilts. Started sales of Scottish products and tartans and began kilt rentals.
2001 Opened Scottish Academy, the first British style nursery school in Kansai for children as young as 1 year old.
Awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) in recognition of her services for, promoting cultural exchange between Scotland and Japan.
2002 Attended the MBE award reception at Buckingham Palace in U.K. Awarded the medal from Prince of Wales.
2003 Called Kirkwall City Pipeband from Orkney, Scotland, for the 13th Kansai Highland Games.
Became an acting member and organiser for the R.N.L.I. (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).

Now she

* Sells and rents Scottish products at Sin-Cos Group.
* Educates children to the British curriculum at Scottish Academy.
* Teaches English conversation, bagpipes, highland dance, Scottish country dance, and Scottish Gallic.
* Teaches Methodology to English teachers.
* Gives speeches on Education, Women's Work force, Life in Japan, etc.
* Plays as a member of the Ramsay Pipeband at events such as British fairs, all over Japan.
* Writes books on Afternoon Tea and English Language Education.
* Produces Scottish style wedding ceremonies and events.

1969 Born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
1981 Came to Japan.
1988 Graduated from Ikeda Municipal Senshin High School in Osaka.
1989 Founded the Ramsay Bagpipe Band.
1991 Taught English conversation at Handicapped People Support Centre in Ikeda-shi, Osaka.
1992 Graduated from Momoyama University in Osaka with degree in economics.
1992-1994 Worked at Public Relation Section in Sales Department of Sansha Denki Seisakujo.
1994 Acquired an M. Ed. (master of education) at Stirling University in UK.
Substituted for Maud and ran Sin-Cos Scottish Consultants for seven months.
1995-1998 Taught English at Tezukayama High School in Nara.
1998-2000 In charge of Sales at Sin-Cos Scottish Consultants.
2000 Assumed the office of General Manager of Scottish Creations.
2001- Worked as the Administrator of Scottish Academy.

Now she

* Works as accountant of Sin-Cos Group.
* Is Pipe Major of the Ramsay Pipeband and plays at events all over Japan.
* Teaches English conversation at educational organizations.
* Works at Scottish Academy as Administrator.
* Lectures at lessons for afternoon tea manner, etc.
* Interprets at events such as the annual British Fair at Hankyu Department Store, etc.
